The Business Analyst will provide analysis support for process improvement and procurement initiatives in a state Medicaid environment. The Analyst will develop "as is" and "to be" documentation including process flows and requirements, descriptive narratives, and related information. He/she will provide inputs to the status report, project schedule and other areas. The Analyst will coordinate meetings, conduct interviews, present on specific topics, and perform other duties as described by the project manager. The Analyst will research and evaluate software products and make recommendations.

Additional duties include:
Coordinate meetings
Interview process owners
Develop process flows
Develop other "as is" documentation
Develop "to be" documentation
Research and assess software products
Provide status report information
Provide project schedule information
Prepare other documents as required

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree
Minimum 5 years of experience in Medicaid programs and business areas with Medicaid programs (e.g. claims processing, provider management, member, TPL)
Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis
Minimum 5 years of experience in business process reengineering

Additional Qualifications

Proficient in MSWord, MS Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
Previous experience with Medicaid and MMIS projects
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be willing to drive into downtown Baltimore
